The big day is almost here! Are you ready?
Tip #1 - Obviously, get sleep - but his is really difficult if you're anxious or trying to finish up some last minute details or speeches. I've heard of brides taking a sleeping aid like Gravol or melatonin to help them get to sleep.
Tip #2 - Designate a makeup/hair checker. Entrust someone who will check your face and hair every now and then - especially just before pictures. Things like, if you need a gloss touchup, or if your face is getting shiny. Ensure that friend is close enough that they will have no fear to tell you that you have a booger up your nose. That close.
Tip #3 - If you have one of those long wedding days that start at 5am... I recommend a short nap time in between like just before dinner or something. I used my veil as a blanket. Best nap ever.
Tip #4 - Brides might think that the work is done after their wedding day...BUT...there are the thank you cards (*insert ominous dun dun dun*). I saw this at a wedding we went to - when they had us signing in, they also had us fill out our address on mail envelopes. Soooo smart! All they had to do was put their thank you cards in them, and mail them out!
Tip #5 - I do a lot of Asian weddings - there are door games where the groom has to get to the bride's room by doing a bunch of games (of destruction...I mean to prove his love...). Unfortunately, sometimes the brides are literally locked in the room away from all the fun games. One of the weddings, they had face-timed the bride and the door game activities so she can see what her bridesmaids were putting the groom and groomsmen through...bahaha. So much more fun seeing it in action instead of seeing them in pictures afterwards.
